Our Remedial Massage service facility provides everything you need. Here’s a few tips on how to get the best from your session.
You can wear whatever is comfortable for you in terms of modesty & fit. Your clothing can range from underwear to full clothing without impacting the effectiveness of your treatment.
Being hydrated leading up to your session allows your muscles to be more more easily manipulated. However don’t drink or eat too much too close to your session, as it may lead to discomfort while lying on the massage table.
The more relaxed you are the greater the positive effects of the massage on your muscles.
Your Remedial Massage session can produce feelings that can be described as pleasure to mild discomfort. For example when your muscles release and relax you can get a pleasurable feeling. When pressure is applied to your muscles to bring about that release there can be mild discomfort.
Check with your therapist as they will be able to give you the best advice applicable to you and your program. General timeframes between sessions can range from 3-7 days depending on what your previous session entailed.
Remedial Massage identifies your problem areas, then targets them with a deep therapeutic massage.
Traditional massages tend to entail a general body massage focusing on relaxation.
Dry Needling is a safe technique performed by our highly trained & skilled therapist that uses a thin monofilament needle to penetrate your skin and treat underlying muscular trigger points. In this way it manages pain and movement problems. It is considered painless, however some twitching may be experienced
IASTM stands for Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation. The therapy involves the use of a device, like a massage tool, that is purpose-shaped to fit the muscle shapes of your body. The tool provides enhanced deeper tissue penetration giving you a more powerful, targeted & effective massage. It aids in the removal of scar tissue & facilitates healing through the formation of new extracellular matrix proteins such as collagen.
